Meet Ai Doan: Ramey’s Newest Media Buyer

We’re thrilled to welcome Ai Doan to The Ramey Agency as our new Media Buyer and Planner. With years of experience and a deep passion for understanding audiences, Ai brings a fresh perspective to our media team.

A Career Path Fueled by Curiosity

Ai’s journey into media began in 2011, after graduating with a degree in Psychology and Anthropology from Rhodes College. Initially, she considered a career in politics but quickly realized that it wasn’t the right fit. Instead, she found herself drawn to advertising, where she discovered a fascination with how people make decisions.

“I’ve always loved learning about people and understanding their daily choices. This curiosity translates directly into my work with audiences—researching, analyzing, and predicting how they’ll respond to various messages,” Ai explains. “Just because I like something doesn’t mean others will, and that’s what makes this work so exciting.”

Finding Balance at Ramey

With experience working at both large and small agencies, Ai appreciates Ramey as the “sweet spot” where collaboration thrives. She values the opportunity to brainstorm and bounce ideas off her colleagues.

“I love collaborating, and I’m excited to be part of a team again. I hope to bring fresh ideas and be a strong collaborator for the media team,” Ai shares. “I enjoy troubleshooting and solving problems with others—it’s about bringing people together to find the best solutions.”

Staying Ahead of Media Trends

In a constantly evolving industry, Ai stays ahead of trends by immersing herself in the content she works with. Whether paid or organic media, she’s always on various platforms, observing and analyzing.

“Media is always changing, and I make sure to stay engaged with it. A recent favorite of mine is The Daily Carnage, which has been doing interesting things in the space,” she notes.

The Power of Data

For Ai, data and analytics are at the heart of every successful media campaign. “Data provides the foundation for everything we do. Whether you’re prospecting new customers or nurturing loyalty, data is key to optimizing and tweaking each campaign,” she says. “With the coming cookieless future, having solid data behind everything will be more important than ever.”

Beyond the Office: A Passion for Gardening

Outside of her work in media, Ai has a green thumb and a passion for gardening. What started with houseplants has evolved into a love for growing vegetables like tomatoes and okra. Now, she has a new goal: cultivating a full English garden.
