Overview

When Mississippi made the short list for Toyota’s new North American manufacturing site, the Mississippi Development Authority brought Ramey to the table. As a trusted partner and adviser, Ramey worked with MDA throughout the confidential RFP process—then as a proud messenger for the Blue Springs plant announcement and working directly with Toyota with the start of production.

Insight

Mississippi was in a close race with a handful of other potential sites. Ramey created a campaign directed to Toyota executives showcasing Mississippi’s most valued asset: our people. From there we continued with this showcase of the people of Mississippi when Toyota began construction and production.

Approach

Ramey worked with MDA to bring Mississippi’s dedicated workforce to life for the decision-makers in Japan. Following the win, Ramey worked with MDA and Toyota to develop assets proclaiming the groundbreaking, recruiting employees and celebrating the start of production.

Media plan delivered excess of 35% additional reach by negotiation of the offered cost per thousand.
